WINDSOR POLICE HUNT TRIO AFTER 30-PLUS VEHICLES VANDALIZED ON CITY'S WEST SIDE

Windsor police are on the hunt for three suspects investigators say damaged dozens of parked vehicles in the city’s west end in a single night last week.

Shortly after 2 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, officers responded to reports of damage to several vehicles. Police learned that the windows of more than 30 vehicles had been smashed, with some items stolen from their interiors.

Officers located damaged vehicles in the 300 and 400 blocks of Askin Avenue, the 3100 block of Sandwich Street, the 3000 block of Alexander Avenue, the 3100, 3300, 3400, and 3600 blocks of Peter Street, the 3400 block of Baby Street, the 3500 block of Bloomfield Road, the 3500 block of Queen Street, and the 3500 and 3600 blocks of King Street.

Investigating officers obtained surveillance footage of three suspects.

All three suspects are described as Black males, approximately six feet in height. The first wore a black and grey hoodie, black pants, and black shoes at the time of the incidents. The second wore a black puffer jacket, black and orange shoes, and a black balaclava, and the third wore a black hoodie, black pants, white shoes, and a multi-coloured hat.

Investigators are asking residents and business owners in the involved areas to check dash-cams and surveillance footage between 12:30 and 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, to help police with possible evidence.
