Lamborghini Temerario: The new super sports car is in a league of its own: a 920 CV twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain offering the highest levels of performance and comfort for a peerless driving experience Automobili Lamborghini presents Temerario, the all-new super sports car equipped with a twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain that redefines the very concepts of performance, driving pleasure and comfort. The Temerario is the second model in the Lamborghini High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) range, after the Revuelto[2], and completes the hybridization of Sant’Agata Bolognese's line-up following the market debut of the Urus SE[3]. A star of Monterey Car Week 2024, the Temerario presents itself as the new benchmark in the super sports car segment, thanks to class-beating performance. The new hybrid powertrain combines an entirely new twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors, providing a total power output of 920 CV. The twin-turbo V8 has been designed and developed from scratch in Sant’Agata Bolognese and is the first and only production super sports car engine able to reach 10,000 rpm. The performance is an absolute revelation: maximum speed of over 340 km/h (210+ mph), 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 2.7 seconds. POWERTRAIN The heart of a Lamborghini has always been its drive system. With the new Temerario, Lamborghini takes an entirely new approach, with several years of development, delivering an unprecedented super sports car powertrain, comprised of an extremely high-revving biturbo Internal Combustion Engine concept combined with three electric motors. “We wanted to develop an incomparable, high-performance sports engine that combines the best of two worlds: an emotional combustion engine based on a twin-turbocharged V8 and a performance-oriented electrification. Our concept of incorporating three electric motors with a combustion engine ensures to achieve instantaneous acceleration, torque vectoring and energy recuperation. With the Temerario we are redefining the segment,” says Rouven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer at Lamborghini. “Temerario is in a league of its own, in terms of engineering solutions and performance.” The new powertrain is integral to the second super sports car in Lamborghini's High-Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) product range. The first target was to achieve the highest possible power and torque, while at the same time offering the response of a classic high-revving naturally aspirated engine. Therefore, only high-performance components are used in the drivetrain: the new 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine has a specific output of 200 CV per liter and works together with an oil-cooled axial flow electric motor fully integrated in the V8 housing. Ferrari’s track-only XX cars are rare, thought to number around 116 in total, spanning Enzo-based FXX, 599XX, and LaFerrari-underpinned FXX-K, plus their uprated Evo variants. But now the XX tag has been applied to Ferrari road cars. Hardcore ones of course, but while the first – the SF90 XX Stradale – is reassuringly expensive and the fastest-ever road car around Ferrari’s Fiorano test circuit, the company will build 799 of them. And, when we drove it in late 2023, it wasn’t quite all we thought a road-going XX should be. You could argue that’s okay. The XX sub-brand has been established – and can now be exploited – while Ferrari’s best clients switch their focus to the £5m 499P Modificata, a derestricted Le Mans car. And yet, there’s now a convertible XX, the new SF90 XX Spider. A sacrilegious step too far, too soon? FIRST DRIVE: Ford GT Mk IV - $1.7m, 800bhp Ultimate American Supercar!

This is the ultimate incarnation of the third-generation Ford GT – and a homage to the Mk IV iteration of the original GT40, which won Le Mans in 1967. Fittingly, this new Mk IV is a track-only, pseudo-race car, of which just 67 will be built, at a price of $1.7m each. It shares its carbonfibre chassis with the GT road car and 2016 Le Mans-winning LMGTE Pro race car, but the brakes are new, the ‘longtail’ body is new and the EcoBoost V6 has been enlarged to 3.8 litres. Together with new turbos and a host of other engine changes, peak power rises to a plentiful 800bhp. The Audi RS e-tron GT performance3 is the first fully electric RS performance model. It features unique design elements and stands out from the RS e-tron GT with an optional matte, darkened carbon roof in combination with optional carbon camouflage elements. These elements are a first from Audi and are intended exclusively for the RS performance. The carbon camouflage is used in the embossed bumper structures, the door trim, parts of the diffuser, and the side mirrors. The RS e-tron GT reaches a maximum electric output of 630 kW (856 PS). The RS e-tron GT performance delivers an output of 680 kW (925 PS). This makes it the most powerful production car that Audi has ever built. In all three model variants, the fully electric Gran Turismo from Audi offers impressive driving performance. The S e-tron GT accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, the RS e-tron GT2 in 2.8 seconds. The RS e-tron GT performance3 in only 2.5 seconds. The S e-tron GT1 reaches a top speed of 245 km/h. The RS models (combined electric power consumption in kWh/100 km (62.1 mi): 21.1 –18.4 (WLTP); combined CO2 emissions in g/km (g/mi): 0; CO2 class: A) have a top speed of 250 km/h. A newly developed and enlarged brake system with standard steel discs and black calipers handles negative acceleration in the S e-tron GT. The calipers are available in red as an option. Both RS models include tungsten carbide-coated brake discs, which are optional on the S model. The brake calipers come in the customer’s choice of black, red, or orange. Audi offers carbon-fiber ceramic discs for the entire e-tron GT family.
